Davisson Brothers Invite Chancie Neal to Their Inaugural Wild & Wonderful Country Fest in West Virginia

The Davisson Brothers created the Wild & Wonderful Country Fest to bring great country music to their home state, and they didn’t disappoint with Hank Williams, Scotty McCreery, Old Dominion, Diamond Rio and more on the main stage. The music went all day and night, so the Davisson Brothers brought some young artists out to help them keep the fun going with the Wild & Wonderful After Party each night, including Chancie Neal, Sam Williams and more. After playing a song off her new EP that will be out this year, “Hell Mary”, the crowd screamed for an encore. Chancie was honored to be one of only three women selected to perform at the festival.

NASHVILLE, TN - Platinum-selling songwriter, Chancie Neal, is set to release her new single, “Over You” on WSM Radio’s Nashville Today with Devon O’Day on Friday, July 19. The next day, Neal will be a featured artist for the WSM Free Fishing Day event in Gallatin where she will close her set with “Over You”. She will also perform her newest single at WSM Radio’s inaugural Songwriters Night hosted by Devon O’Day on July 31st featuring Erin Enderlin and Bobby Tomberlin.

Neal is no stranger to performing as she began touring with Luke Bryan on his Farm Tour in 2010 when she was only 14 years old,. She kept that opening spot for the next seven years alongside Cole Swindell, Sam Hunt, Chris Janson and The Peach Pickers. In 2013, she also joined Bryan’s Spring Break Tour where she had the opening spot for two years playing for crowds of more than 150,000 in 2014.

After taking a break from the road, Neal spent the next three years immersed in the Nashville writing world by teaming up with some of the most talented songwriters in the city. All of that experience led Neal to write “Over You” with Jen Stegall and Terry Sawchuk (co-wrote the 2012 ASCAP song of the year Barefoot Blue Jean Night recorded by Jake Owen). At first glance, it sounds like a song that should be added to your break-up mix, but the story is actually about making up. She brings a soulful sound to this emotional country song, as well as four more songs that will complete her new EP that will be released in the fall.

“Chancie Neal is what country music is all about. Leaving everything behind to chase this crazy dream,” said hit songwriter, Ben Hayslip. “One of the best pure, honest country voices I’ve ever heard.”

While chasing that crazy dream, Neal landed a deal in 2012 with Sony/ATV Music Publishing and by 2013 her song “Ducks in a Row” was part of the Duck Commander series, featuring the Robertson family from the AE show, Duck Dynasty. Later that year, she co-wrote the song “Hairy Christmas” that was recorded by old friend, Bryan. The song was part of the Duck Dynasty Christmas album, Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Reunion, released by Universal Music Group and went platinum featuring songs with Josh Turner, Alison Krauss and George Strait.

She’s opened for Jake Owen, Florida Georgia Line and Pat Green. Neal was also part of the official CMA Fest lineup from 2013-16 and then featured at the WSM Radio CMA Fest events this summer. She turns heads when people find out that she hit the EDM Top 100 with Hunter for “In Your Heart” and she still holds the record as the youngest World Champion Barrel Racer. At only 24 years old, Neal's new music is a must-have on your playlist in 2019. “Over You” is available on iTunes, Spotify and Amazon Music on July 19. Get a sneak peak HERE.
